The Backstory

I thought motherhood would look like slow mornings and gentle routines.

Instead, it was chaotic mornings and feeling behind before the day even started.

Somewhere between the burnout and the constant effort to just get it right, I realized I was chasing a version of motherhood that only exists in the highlight reels.

Maybe you’re here because you feel that pressure too.
Your days start with good intentions and somehow turn into playing catch-up by 9am—all while hearing “Mom” called from every room in the house.
You love your kids deeply, but you also miss who you were before.

That was me.

My days were filled with toddler whining, power struggles, and a house that always felt overwhelming.
I was so focused on keeping the peace for everyone else that I lost my own.
At some point, I knew something had to shift. Not a full reset—just a different way of moving through my days.

I started finding small ways to create rhythms that actually worked for us. Ways to hold both the demands of motherhood and a little more steadiness for myself.

What I couldn’t find (so I created it)

But everything I came across felt one-sided.
I could find ideas for entertaining my toddlers on rainy days—but not the emotional support to carry the weight of this season.
Or I could find encouragement and validation—but nothing that actually helped my days run more smoothly.

So I started creating something that held both.

The Lightwell Studio is a space for moms who want support in the practical side of motherhood—routines, rhythms, and simple ways to manage the day—while also tending to their own emotional well-being.
